INTERCEPTCS

is comprised of an ergonomically designed hand-held unit and a disposable treatment activator, the activator is good for preventing one cold sore occurrence. Design and engineering of the system was completed in late 2005 and in April 2006.

HOW IT WORKS

The InterceptCS™ system provides controlled topical heat without the risk of burning the skin. The device’s controlled range of heat naturally prevents cold sore outbreaks.

Light and infrared combined with the InterceptCS™ septic system penetrate deep into the skin killing the virally infected cells that cause cold sores.  The device’s thermal heat conductivity further destroys the bacteria by a process called heat shock response which is a reaction bacteria have to heat whereby they transcript a number of their genes and activate heat-shock proteins.

The heat shock proteins participate in the bacteria’s death by causing the bacteria to self-destruct resulting in the death of the lesions and return to the skin’s normal healthy state.

CURRENT PRODUCT DEVELOPMENTS

Therma Bright has completed prototyping for multi-use activations for its InterceptCS™ and expects to manufacture multi-use activators at cost effective value added pricing for consumers.  Therma Bright Inc. is currently in R&D for the redesign of InterceptCS™ that incorporates a smaller form factor, advanced technology and ease of purchase by consumers for each activation.
